Thousands of generous individuals and organizations help us provide communities in need with sustainable sources of safe water, improved sanitation, and hygiene education:
Individuals
Our largest source of funds is our loyal, grassroots individual donor base, which represents over one third of our cash revenue and one tenth of our revenue in the form of donated professional labor.
Groups
Many faith-based groups, such as churches and missions organizations, provide financial support, prayer, and encouragment. Schools and civic groups work to support Lifewater's work to provide safe water through enthusiastic and creative fundraising and awareness-raising initiatives. Supporting businesses often match their employees' gifts to Lifewater, and some dedicate a fixed portion of their profits to helping others gain safe water.
Foundations
Lifewater is glad to partner with many private foundations and charities, from small family foundations to large grantmaking institutions, for nearly one third of our resources.
Government
About one tenth of our funding comes from government sources. Lifewater must go through a competitive application process and adhere to strict reporting requirements while partnering with state and federal governments through organizations such as USAID.
